Our fluorescent acrylic sheets in the colour orange are available up to a maximum format of 1500mmx980mm in laser cut. The sheets are transparent and have a strong orange colour. The colour is similar to the RAL colour RAL 2005 (Luminous orange). Due to the strong pigmentation of the acrylic glass sheets, the light transmission is reduced to approx. 37%. Due to the fluorescence of these sheets, the cut edges appear as if they would glow by themselves. This striking effect is particularly noticeable with very smooth and polished cut edges, which is why laser cutting is most suitable for these sheets. In order to achieve the best possible luminous effect of the sheets, we only use cast material for our laser cuts from the coloured acrylic glass sheets. Due to the special manufacturing process, cast acrylic glass is much easier to laser cut and is characterised by a much cleaner laser edge, whose evenness and gloss level almost resembles the surface of the sheet.
The coloured acrylic sheets in fluorescent orange are completely dyed orange and have a consistently high pigmentation. Our laser-cut acrylic sheets are solid sheets. No twin-wall sheets or double-wall sheets are used.
NOTE: Our fluorescent acrylic sheets in orange are equipped with a protective film on both sides to protect the surfaces. However, this is easily removable after processing.
Our acrylic sheets with luminous edge, are available in various colours in our online shop and can be created in just a few steps in almost any shape and ordered cheaply via our laser configurator. The colourful sheets with fluorescence are characterised by a special luminous effect that gives the appearance that the edges are illuminated without the need for a direct light source. The fluorescent effect is particularly noticeable in dim light or at dusk.
Due to their special properties, fluorescent acrylic sheets are used in many different areas where an attractive appearance with high conspicuity is required. For example, the orange acrylic glass sheets are frequently used in the advertising industry for signage, e.g. as laser-cut letters or for lettering with a high visual impact. Transparent product displays or stands for advertising material are also made of this attractive material. In the private sector, the brightly coloured plastic sheets are mainly found as decoration in the garden, on the balcony or on windows.
Acrylic glass is UV and weather resistant and thus a weatherproof plastic that can be used both indoors and outdoors. The correct chemical name is polymethyl methacrylate, which is often abbreviated to PMMA. Acrylic glass is offered by many manufacturers, who all have their own designations and brand names for this plastic. The best known is probably the name Plexiglas®, which is popularly used synonymously for the plastic acrylic glass.
As a weatherproof plastic with a generous temperature range from -40°C to +80°C, acrylic glass can also be used permanently outdoors. It can be used without any problems in winter with deep frost, but also in summer with summer heat and strong sunlight. Thanks to their UV resistance, the transparent sheets do not become brittle over time and the colours do not fade. This makes it possible to create particularly eye-catching plastic glazing, decorations or lighting fixtures, e.g. for gastronomy or retail, which have a high advertising impact due to the fluorescence.
With our online configurator, you can easily create your own laser parts made of fluorescent orange acrylic glass online at very favourable prices. The most common basic shapes are available, from rectangles, circles and rings to any triangles or polygons, which can be further customised and optionally provided with holes if required. Thanks to the real-time preview in true-to-scale representation, you always have full control over the entries you have made. Our price calculation also shows you the best possible price for your orange acrylic laser parts in real time and deducts weight-dependent quantity discounts fully automatically.
Thanks to state-of-the-art machinery, very low tolerances are possible for our laser cuts. For the highest demands on the appearance of the cut edge, we only use acrylic glass sheets made of cast material. In contrast to sawing or milling, where the cut edges appear cloudy and rough, cuts made with a CO2 laser are characterised by evenly smooth, polished cut edges. For this reason, we also offer our coloured acrylic sheets with fluorescent effect as laser cuts without exception.
NOTE: The maximum size for our laser cut acrylics is technically limited to 1500mmx980mm.
Our laser cuts are manufactured with a very high degree of accuracy, so that further cutting should basically not be necessary. However, acrylic glass can be processed very easily by sawing, milling, drilling, grinding or laser cutting. For cutting fluorescent sheets, however, laser cutting is the best option. The smooth, even cut edge brings out the luminous effect particularly well. For all machining methods, such as sawing or milling, commercially available woodworking tools can be used. We recommend a medium-dense toothed saw blade for cutting and medium settings for speed and feed for best results. A sharp metal drill bit should be used for drilling holes. When processing, always make sure that the acrylic sheet rests firmly on a flat surface to avoid chipping or breakage of the sheet.
Acrylic glass can be glued very well. However, no solvent-based adhesives can be used for laser cuts made of extruded acrylic glass, as this leads to stress cracks. Therefore, we only use acrylic glass made of cast material, which has no internal stress and can therefore also be bonded with solvent-based adhesives without the risk of stress cracks. At this point, we recommend our cold welding adhesive PMMAprofi from our own brand S-Polybond, which is ideally suited for bonding acrylic glass.
For thermoforming the fluorescent acrylic sheets in orange, the protective films must be removed in advance, as these only serve to protect the surfaces and cannot be thermoformed. Due to the luminous effect of the sheets, thermoforming can create a particularly eye-catching effect on the thermoformed parts. A temperature between 150°C and 190°C is required for thermoforming. The heating time depends on the selected temperature and the thickness of the acrylic sheet.
Bending or folding acrylic glass can also be carried out if the sheets are sufficiently heated. However, if the temperature is too low and the load during bending is too high, the sheets may break.
WARNING: Laser cuts made of acrylic glass must not be cleaned with alcohol. This can lead to stress cracks on the laser edges.
With our laser part configurator, we offer you a wide range of options for adapting laser cuts to your own needs online. In addition, we are also able to produce your individual laser parts exactly according to your design drawing. From individual letters in fluorescent orange acrylic glass to complete lettering or as a company logo in laser cutting. Series production of complete kits for product presentations, advertising lettering or displays can be produced with our laser equipment on request. Laser engravings are also possible and provide a special effect, especially with the fluorescent acrylic glass plates. Our friendly team will be happy to answer any questions you may have and to provide you with a concrete quotation by telephone or e-mail.
