1C PU adhesive foam in the gun foam can

Fast curing ✓ Cut-resistant after 10 minutes ✓ Very low-emission ✓

Our POINT WDVS 1K PU adhesive foam is a fast-curing construction foam in a 850ml gun foam can and can be processed with any conventional PU foam gun. The fast foam is easy to dispense and is characterised by its very short waiting time of only 1 minute. The cut resistance is already achieved after about 10 minutes. This makes the construction foam ideal for bonding insulation boards on the exterior façade or for all installations that are to be carried out with a construction foam where rapid curing is required.

Properties of the adhesive foam in the gun foam can

POINT WDVS is a ready-to-use, one-component PU foam in a gun can, which can be applied with any standard PU foam gun. The PU foam WDVS is characterised by its very fast curing, which means that installations with the adhesive foam can be carried out in a considerably shorter time. With a processing time of 4 minutes, there is sufficient time to carry out the bonding with the foam. The fixing time is between 60 - 120 seconds, depending on the weight. The foam is cut-resistant after just 10 minutes and is fully cured just 15 minutes after application. The fine-pored foam structure provides optimal thermal insulation and also contributes to improved sound insulation.

POINT WDVS has excellent adhesion to almost all materials commonly used in the construction sector. These include concrete, brick, plaster, wood, metal or hard plastic, as well as a wide variety of insulating materials such as Styrodur, polystyrene foam, rock wool or mineral wool. This makes the adhesive foam the perfect choice for bonding insulation boards to sand-lime bricks, concrete or clinker. The foam does not expand further during curing, so there is no need to worry about volume expansion. Especially with non-solid insulation materials such as rock wool, no unevenness is caused by post-expansion. Thanks to the low volume expansion, which can be adjusted via the foam gun, the adhesive foam is also excellently suited for mounting door frames, skirting boards and decorative trims on walls and ceilings indoors and outdoors.

In order to be able to use the high-quality PU foam for bonding outdoors without hesitation, the temperature resistance after curing ranges from -40°C to +90°C. This means that the rapid foam is absolutely frost-resistant and also defies very high temperatures. This means that the rapid foam is absolutely frost-resistant and can withstand very high temperatures. However, it should only be applied at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. To ensure that the WDVS PU foam from POINT can also be used in interior finishing, it does not emit any harmful emissions after curing, which is certified by emission protection class EC1+ (very low emission) according to GEV-EMICODE.

  • The fast-curing PU foam offers perfect adhesion to almost all building materials
  • Ideal for fast, secure bonding of insulation boards outdoors
  • The 1K-PU adhesive foam requires a very short fixing time of approx. 60 seconds.
  • Already cut-proof after 10 minutes and fully cured after approx. 15 minutes
  • Temperature resistance after curing ranges from -40°C to +90°C
  • No post-expansion of the foam volume after application of the rapid foam
  • Classified as very low emission according to GEV Emicode with the best rating EC1+

NOTE: PU foam does not adhere to polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene) and PTFE.

Processing of the 1-component PU adhesive foam POINT WDVS

To apply the one-component PU adhesive foam, a PU foam gun is required onto which the can is screwed. Before screwing on, but at the latest before applying the PU foam, the can must be shaken vigorously for about 20 seconds so that the viscous adhesive mass mixes with the propellant. This creates the fine-pored structure of the fast-curing building foam and causes the foam to be conveyed out of the can.

The WDVS foam from POINT is mainly used for bonding insulation boards. The construction foam is also suitable for mounting decorative mouldings, skirting boards, decorative panels, stair treads or window sills and much more. To apply the foam, the can must be held upside down so that the adhesive mass runs out. The foam volume can be adjusted with the dosing wheel, which most PU foam guns have. The foam is applied in strips or dots. Then press the insulation board, skirting board or tile quickly onto the substrate after waiting for about one minute and fixing it for one to two minutes, depending on the weight. If the substrate is dry, it should be moistened in advance with a spray gun, because PU foam needs moisture to cure.

When bonding insulation boards, the application should be carried out with an edge distance of around 3cm. Especially with large panels, the foam should cover at least 10% of the surface to ensure a permanent, secure hold of the insulation panel on the substrate. The high-yield foam is sufficient for approx. 14m2 if it is used for bonding insulation boards or decorative panels. If, on the other hand, the foam is to be used for foaming joints for thermal and sound insulation, the content of the 850ml foam can is sufficient for up to 95m (for joints with a width of 3cm).

As soon as the adhesive foam has hardened, protruding foam can be cut off with a sharp knife. With POINT WDVS, the cut resistance is reached after approx. 10 minutes.

WARNING: Gloves should always be worn when working with PU adhesive foam.
