Our black aluminium handle with a length of 200mm is ideal for our construction profiles in 30x30 or 40x40mm with 8mm groove width. The large handle with a smooth surface is finished with a scratch-resistant powder coating in matt black and is therefore perfectly suited as a door or grab handle for outdoor constructions. In addition, the powder coating allows the use of the bow handles in humid rooms, such as showers, outdoor saunas or greenhouses. The handle is very pleasant to hold due to its ergonomic shape.

Our aluminium handles are always supplied as a complete set with the fastening material required for attachment to a construction profile. This way, the handles can be installed immediately and easily. The mounting material consists of two M6 cylinder screws with washers and two sliding blocks for system profiles with 8 mm groove.

Scope of delivery:

NOTE: For the cylinder head screws with an internal hexagon drive, a 6mm Inbus®- key or hex bit is required. If, on the other hand, the handle is to be mounted on wood, plastic or on the wall, instead of on a construction profile, the mounting hardware may need to be replaced with suitable screws.

Properties of the black aluminium handle

The black bow handle is made of robust die-cast aluminium and is perfect for quick and easy mounting on aluminium construction profiles. The aluminium used is not only extremely resilient, but also corrosion-resistant and highly durable. The powder coating in matt black is not just for looks, but also further increases corrosion resistance and counteracts visual damage caused by weathering, so that the handle can also be used outside. The powder coating used is UV-resistant. This means that the black matt colour is retained even under intense weathering and sunlight, and there is no risk of fading.

The bow-type handles have a total length of 200mm. The total height of the handle is approx. 47mm. This results in an inner handle opening of 160mmx42mm for the large, solid handle, which is a particular advantage when lifting, pulling or pushing higher loads. Due to its width of 26mm, the handle is suitable for construction profiles from 30mm width. It does not matter whether the constructions are system profiles of the I-type or the equally widespread B-type, provided that the groove width matches. The mounting holes, which are 180mm apart, have a diameter of 8mm. This is perfect for mounting with 8mm cylinder head screws.

The necessary mounting hardware is included so that the handles can be mounted on a construction profile immediately. This includes two M6 cylinder head screws with a thread length of 16 mm, which fit perfectly into the Ø 8.0 mm holes in the handles with the corresponding washers, as well as sliding blocks with an M8 internal thread. The cylinder head screws are highly durable and thus guarantee a reliable hold under increased loads on the profiles. The large screw heads with an internal hexagon drive ensure optimal pressure distribution and distribute the tensile load when pulling and lifting the handle over the entire contact surface to avoid point loading at the edge of the handle hole. In addition to the cylinder screws, the matching slot nuts for 8mm slot width are included, which also ensure a good hold on the profiles. Thanks to the slot nuts, it is always possible to attach the handles to the system profiles, reposition them or remove them without leaving any residue, without having to drill any holes. The cylinder screws are made of a high-quality stainless steel alloy. For the slot nuts, on the other hand, we deliberately use nickel-plated carbon steel, because the nickel-plated surface significantly reduces the risk of contact corrosion compared to stainless steel on aluminium.

Application and installation of lever handles for construction profiles

The bow handles are perfectly suited for our construction profiles in the sizes 30x30mm and 40x40mm, but also for all system profiles with an 8mm groove width. The black bow-type handle is very easy to install and only requires an Allen®-key to tighten the cylinder screws. To install the bow-type handle, the sliding nuts must be inserted clockwise into the groove. After the sliding nuts have been inserted, the bow-type handle is screwed to the profile with the screws. This is also possible with inaccessible profile ends or with already completed constructions, since the sliding blocks can be inserted or removed at any time. In this way, the bow handles can be freely moved along the profile to achieve a better position if desired. If the bow handle is no longer needed or is needed in a different place, it can be quickly removed. No damage to the profile surface is to be expected.

Inserting the slot nuts is much easier if they are screwed onto the thread of the cap screw a little. This makes it easy to insert the slot nut into the slot and turn it 90 degrees. To remove the screw, turn it anticlockwise out of the slot nut thread. To prevent the slot nut from turning at the same time, it is necessary to pull on the screw slightly so that the slot nut is firmly in contact with the profile.

TIP: If the handle is to be attached to vertical profiles, a separate T-Slot nut, which is fixed to the profile at the desired height, can prevent the T-Slot nuts for the bow handle from falling out. Alternatively, the bow handle can also be pre-assembled so that the T-Slot nuts are inserted into the mounting groove at the same time as the handle.

Our robust bow-type handles are primarily intended for mounting on aluminium construction profiles, for example as a carrying, pulling or pushing aid. The handle impresses with its quick and easy assembly without drilling, which is why it can also be attached in a few seconds for short-term use to transport a construction. If the handle is no longer needed, or is needed at a different point in the construction, it can be removed just as quickly without affecting the appearance of the construction profiles.

Typical examples of applications for the large and extremely resilient aluminium handle are machine covers, maintenance and inspection flaps in equipment construction, as well as in the construction of large industrial plants, taking into account occupational safety. It does not always have to be used in large-scale industry, as the handle can also be used in a variety of ways in the DIY sector. It is a good choice for use on removable covers, doors, drawers or furniture indoors and outdoors. The handle can be used for homemade bed drawers or for outdoor kitchen cabinets. In the garden and on driveways, the solid aluminium handle can be used for garage doors, sliding gates or for doors and vent windows of greenhouses. Basically, there are no limits to the ideas for use, even if they are not for mounting on aluminium system profiles.
