Aluminium H-profiles in white - ideal for panel connection

No yellowing ✓ Insensitive paintwork ✓ Easy to clean ✓

Our aluminium H-profiles in white are available in clamping widths of 3mm, 6mm or 8mm and are ideal for bridging gaps and connecting adjacent panels of the corresponding thickness. The smooth aluminium surfaces are fully coated with a robust powder coating in white, the colour and gloss level of which are precisely matched to our HPL panels in white. The satin matt surface has a subtle gloss level. We only use high-quality EN AW 6063 aluminium alloy for production, which is characterised by excellent corrosion resistance and whose UV and weather resistance is further improved by the weatherproof powder coating, making the profiles ideal for indoor and outdoor applications.

The white H-profiles have a thickness of 1.1mm. This low thickness combines the advantages of a very low weight with excellent workability. The 2-metre profiles can be easily cut to length with a simple hand saw. Another advantage of the low profile thickness is the almost seamless transition from the panel surface to the profile surface, which allows the connecting profile to blend harmoniously into the wall panelling. Despite the flat design, the solid aluminium profiles offer high rigidity and contribute to improved bending stiffness, particularly with thin 3mm sheets, which has a positive effect on the stability of the construction, especially with acrylic glass or polycarbonate.

NOTE: In addition to the connecting profiles, we also offer end profiles for outer edges with powder coating in white. Both the H-profiles and the U-profiles are available in three clamping ranges for panels with a thickness of 3mm, 6mm or 8mm, as well as in the standard length of 2 metres or as a 1 metre cut to size at favourable prices with attractive quantity discounts.

Properties of the H-profile with powder coating in white

The H-profiles are made of high-quality EN AW 6063 T6 aluminium, also known colloquially as architectural aluminium, which is characterised by excellent corrosion resistance. The scratch-resistant powder coating in white significantly increases protection against environmental and weather influences, meaning that the profiles can be used outdoors without hesitation. The UV and weather-resistant paint remains colourfast even when exposed to long-term weathering. The colour and gloss level of the white paint is precisely matched to our HPL panels in white, making the 6mm or 8mm connecting profiles perfect for inconspicuous transitions between individual panels in façade cladding. This not only covers up edge splintering caused by a somewhat imprecise cut, but also straightens out visually uneven cut edges. Another advantage when used as a connecting profile on exterior façade cladding is the closing of thermal bridges. This prevents draughts, moisture or rain from penetrating behind the wall cladding through the narrow gaps between two panels, which are necessary for thermal expansion. The profiles are not only suitable for HPL panels, but their neutral white colour also makes them ideal for large-scale exhibition walls, sun protection systems or lateral plastic glazing made of transparent acrylic glass or our break-resistant grey polycarbonate, as well as countless indoor and outdoor applications.

The production length of our profiles is 2000mm with a possible plus tolerance of 5mm, but never shorter. The low manufacturing tolerances comply with the EN 12020 standard (extruded precision profiles made of alloys EN AW-6060 and EN AW-6063). Our German manufacturer, who produces the profiles exactly according to our design drawings, strictly monitors compliance with the standard and the white powder coating finish to ensure consistent quality. In addition to the standard length, we also offer the profiles precisely cut to 1000mm length.

Our connecting profiles, whose cross-section is very similar to the capital letter H, which is why the profiles are also known as H-profiles or double T-profiles, have a front and rear side. This means that the dimensions of the visible and mounting sides differ slightly. The 26mm mounting surface is deliberately wider than the 17mm visible side. This has less to do with the appearance and more to do with the optional fixing with adhesive or screws. However, our façade profiles are powder-coated white all round so that the rear side can also be used as a visible side. The different profile depths result from the clamping ranges, which are optionally available in 3mm, 6mm or 8mm. A 3mm H-profile, for example, has a depth of 5.7mm, consisting of two 1.1mm profile thicknesses and a maximum clamping range of 3.5mm. The additional half millimetre enables the insertion of panels with thickness variations, which is not uncommon with plastic panels and ensures that the profiles can still be used with panel materials with higher manufacturing tolerances.

Specific data for the different profile sizes

  • Alu H-Profile 3mm: Clamping range: max. 3.5mm, profile depth outside: 5.7mm, weight: 138g/m
  • Alu H-Profile 6mm: Clamping range: max. 6.5mm, profile depth outside: 8.7mm, weight: 147g/m
  • Alu H-Profile 8mm: Clamping range: max. 8.5mm, profile depth outside: 10.7mm, weight: 153g/m

Application and installation of white aluminium H-profiles made of aluminium

The versatility of our powder-coated aluminium H-profiles makes them an indispensable element in numerous areas of the construction and design sector. Their combination of functionality, aesthetics and ease of use enables creative and practical solutions for a wide range of requirements. From their original main use as a façade profile to cover the gap between two façade panels, the profiles are also extremely versatile in interior design, in the area of terrace or balcony screen elements, as well as in vehicle interior design, for example the interior panelling of a motorhome with lightweight plastic decorative panels. They enable a clean and professional look when joining panels and thus contribute to a high-quality appearance. The profiles are either simply inserted into the space between two panels or attached to one of the panel edges and then attached by inserting another panel on the opposite side.

TIP: Our weather-resistant aluminium H-profiles are available online in a standard length of 2 metres or cut to size with a length of 1000mm. Shorter lengths can easily be cut to size using a hacksaw or, if available, a cross-cut saw. We recommend masking the powder coating with masking tape to prevent damage to the silky matt white surface.

Depending on the panel thickness, our precision-manufactured H-profiles provide a secure hold even without additional fixing. For very smooth surfaces, fixing with silicone or MS polymer may be necessary. Screwing is also possible, but requires the fixing holes to be drilled with a suitable HSS drill. A small guide groove on the inside of the mounting surface makes drilling easier and ensures an even edge distance, which is also selected to minimise the risk of edge chipping on brittle panel materials. This recess is also a good aid when applying a mounting adhesive or silicone and improves the adhesion of the adhesive and sealant.

Application examples of our white aluminium end profiles

  • The connecting profiles are colour-coordinated with our white HPL panels and are ideal for façade cladding
  • In interior design, the profiles are used for wall panelling, room dividers or decorative elements
  • In exhibition stand construction, the aluminium profiles enable fast assembly and dismantling while maintaining a high-quality appearance
  • For polycarbonate or acrylic glass roofing, H-profiles serve as connecting elements between the sheets
  • Thanks to their low weight, the white H-profiles are ideal for interior fittings in motorhomes and caravans
