90° angle semi-circular – Not just for construction profiles

Rustproof die-cast aluminium ✓ Also for wall mounting ✓ For countersunk head screws ✓

Our die-cast aluminium angle brackets are used for flexible mounting, expansion or reinforcement of construction profiles at a right angle, as well as for attaching the profiles to the wall, ceiling and floor. In addition, the robust and compact angle connectors are also very suitable for mounting panels to cover profile constructions. Despite their solid construction, the materials used combine low weight with excellent stability and load-bearing capacity. Die-cast aluminium is a weatherproof material that does not corrode, even in adverse weather conditions or permanent moisture. These are perfect conditions for a wide range of applications, both in interior and exterior use.

In contrast to the angular angle connectors with fixed nuts, which serve as an anti-twist protection, the one-sided rounded mounting brackets are not only suitable for construction profiles, but can also be used very well for the connection and reinforcement of shelves and cabinet carcasses. In addition, wall mounting is also possible due to the flat mounting surface.

NOTE: For the rounded angle connectors, we recommend mounting with countersunk head screws. These, in contrast to screws with a flattened head, are flush with the surface of the angle and, thanks to the full-surface contact in the countersink, also result in optimal load distribution. We offer countersunk head screws and matching T-nuts for mounting the brackets on construction profiles at affordable prices, even for just a single screw.

Properties of our die-cast aluminium mounting brackets

Our aluminium mounting brackets are manufactured using the die casting process. This is a production process that is not only cost-efficient, but also allows for the precise series production of 90° angles. Aluminium die casting is an excellent material because, despite the strength of our mounting brackets, it combines low weight with an appealing appearance and very high stability. The latter is particularly important for angle connections. The construction profiles, boards or wooden beams are securely and permanently connected to each other without the angle giving way under the load. Die-cast aluminium also has the advantage of being corrosion-resistant and can therefore be used outdoors without concern, without the effects of weathering affecting its durability or appearance.

The silky matt shine of the slightly rough surface has a kind of metallic look, due to the manufacturing process. This looks appealing, even when the brackets are visibly used, for example in living room- or book shelves in an industrial look. However, due to their small dimensions, the mounting brackets are hardly noticeable. Neither in profile constructions, nor as angle connectors for MDF boards or solid wood panels in furniture construction.

NOTE: The mounting brackets are countersunk and suitable for mounting with countersunk head screws up to a thread diameter of M8 and an outer head diameter of 14mm. Mounting with cylinder head screws or other screws with a flat underside is not recommended, as the load distribution in this case is inadequate and distributed over only a small part of the screw head.

Specific data for rounded mounting angles

  • 90° mounting bracket 30x35mm: Dimensions (WxLxH): approx. 30x35x35mm, Ø hole: 8.25mm, Ø countersink: 14mm, weight: 20g

Installation and use of angle brackets

Put simply, the screw is passed through the mounting hole and screwed into the substrate. For walls made of concrete or sand-lime brick, a screw with a suitable dowel must be used in the pre-assembly. When screwing into wood, the screw can be screwed directly into the wood. The only requirement is that the screws have a countersunk head. If, on the other hand, the angle is to be used with construction profiles to connect two profiles, an M8 threaded screw with a countersunk head and a suitable slot nut must be used. This is most likely to succeed if the slot nuts are already slightly screwed onto the thread of the screws and then inserted into the slot. It is also advisable not to tighten the screws completely until the profile is exactly in the desired position and at the desired angle of rotation.

The rounded mounting brackets have no grooved ridges on the mounting surface. This means that they are not twist-proof. However, this is not a disadvantage, because in this way, profiles can be mounted twisted both lengthwise and in cross-section to each other, which increases the possibilities when planning and executing constructions. Nevertheless, the countersinks, together with the appropriate mounting hardware, achieve a very good screw connection on construction profiles.

TIP: The mounting brackets are perfectly suited for mounting machine frames, shelves or other constructions on the wall or to secure them against falling over. For this purpose, they are attached to the construction profile on one side with T-slot nuts and matching countersunk head screws, and screwed to the wall or floor with suitable screws. If necessary, wall plugs can be used.

The compact brackets are comparatively small and are therefore very suitable for fixing and repairing furniture walls, but also as mounting brackets for screwing cabinets or shelves to the wall to secure them against falling over, without them being too visually noticeable. Their low weight tends to play a subordinate role in furniture construction, but it can be quite important in the interior design of caravans, campers or service vehicles for breakdown services or tradespeople. The mounting brackets are equally suitable for connecting construction profiles for shelf and furniture construction at right angles, but also for attaching them to the vehicle floor or wall. Outside, the brackets are a very good long-term solution for mounting fence panels, for attaching privacy screens to the house wall, or for making patio furniture, raised beds or frames for balcony power plants from construction profiles.

Examples of use for rounded mounting brackets
