Our balcony screws in anthracite grey (RAL7016) are made of high-quality A2 stainless steel. The screws with metric thread in size M5 are available in different lengths in order to offer you maximum flexibility when installing your balcony cladding. The screw head is lens-shaped and has a head diameter of 16mm. In the case of the balcony screws in anthracite, this head is coated with a weatherproof, scratch-resistant paint, which has been specially adapted to our HPL panels in anthracite. Weatherproof screws are indispensable, especially for the assembly of balcony panelling on balcony railings. The A2 steel alloy of the individual components, ensures that the screws do not rust and are characterised by a very good corrosion and UV resistance.
The amount of screws you need to install your balcony cladding varies depending on the size of the balcony railing and the number of mounting points. For this reason, we do not offer you the screws in fixed packaging units of 100 pieces, but already from a single screw. Our online store automatically calculates quantity discounts of up to 30%.
TIP: A Torx Bit T20 and a wrench 8mm are required to fix the balcony screws. These tools are not included in the delivery.
Our balcony screws consist of five individual parts. In order to enable an outdoor use even under adverse weather conditions without hesitation, we only use high-quality, stainless steel for the screw, cap nut, washer and spring washer. Only the self-adhesive poly-washer is made of weatherproof plastic. The total length of the balcony screws depends on the selected size, which however refers to the thread length. The thread length has to be added up by approximately 2mm for the lenticular screw head to determine the total length. For a safe and durable assembly of the balcony claddings with our balcony screws, the thread area for the cap nut is provided with a locking lacquer. A spring washer also ensures that the cap nut cannot loosen itself automatically due to vibrations or mechanical stress.
Our balcony screws in anthracite grey also have a top coat of paint, so that the balcony cladding can be installed as unobtrusively as possible with anthracite grey panels in RAL7016. Even if the scratch-resistant head coating is matched to our HPL panels, the painted screws are also suitable for other materials, for example our aluminium composite panels in anthracite. Of course, the lacquering of the screw head is also UV- and weather-resistant, so that fading of the intensive colour due to UV radiation is impossible.
Depending on the thread length of the screw, the clamping range, which refers to the panel thickness and the material thickness of the substructure, also varies.
The balcony screws in anthracite are ideally suited for mounting balcony cladding and privacy screens with our HPL panels with ETB approval in anthracite on a metal construction, for example made of aluminium, steel or stainless steel. When screwing the threaded screws, the tightening torque should be between 2Nm and 4Nm in order to ensure that the HPL panels can be installed without any constraint. We recommend using a special 8mm diameter facade panel drill for drilling holes in the HPL panels. Due to the larger drill hole, the HPL panels have sufficient clearance even with thermal expansion. Thanks to the screw head diameter of 16mm, the hole is still completely covered.
In most cases, the number of mounting points is determined by the construction of the balcony railing, so that you can normally take the quantity without hesitation. If you determine the position of the mounting points yourself, we recommend that you follow the installation instructions of both the substructure and the corresponding panel in advance. Especially with HPL panels, a constraint-free installation is very important. In addition, one screw connection should be selected as a fixed point and all other ones as sliding points in order to counteract the curvature of the balcony cladding due to the effect of heat.
The balcony screws can be used for mounting any type of panels on a metal substructure. They are not limited to our HPL panels in anthracite, even if the colour of the head-lacquered screws has been matched. Especially for balcony railings and substructures painted in RAL7016, for example with transparent plastic panels made of acrylic glass or polycarbonate, the screws in anthracite can be used excellently. In addition, panels made of metal, wood or our plastic panels can also be fixed in cut-to-size. Depending on the thickness and weight of the desired panel, you may need to increase the number of fasteners.
TIP: The matching HPL panels in anthracite are available in the thicknesses 6mm and 8mm in a perfect and inexpensive cut in our online store. These have the ETB approval necessary for balcony cladding.
