The black balcony screws with metric thread size M5 are available in our store in the thread lengths 25mm and 30mm at favorable graduated prices as loose screws. The screws are the same as those included in the complete sets and are mainly used for the construction of balcony cladding and fall protection in staircases and on roof terraces. The screws are made of A2 stainless steel and have a black head finish in deep black (RAL 9005) to perfectly match the surface decor of our black HPL sheets in the cut. The head diameter of 16mm also covers larger holes of sliding point fasteners of a constraint-free assembly with HPL and has a Torx drive of size T20, which ensures easy processing of the screws.

NOTE: The black balcony screws are available with a thread length of 25mm or 30mm in our online store. These can be fastened with any conventional nut. As a balcony screw with M5 thread, our stainless steel cap nuts or our head painted threaded sleeves, which we also sell in deep black in any quantity, can be used to fasten balcony cladding and stair guardrails.

With us you always buy only what you really need. We do not have fixed packaging units, so you can also buy all the screws, washers and nuts individually. If the black screws are not used for the installation of balcony cladding, it makes no sense to buy a balcony screw set with cap nut or threaded sleeve, where the additional fasteners are not needed and end up in the toolbox or in the trash. Therefore, we sell each component, including the head painted screws in black individually. This saves you money and is also sustainable, because the washers and poly washers must eventually also be manufactured, which results in some CO2 emissions.

Features of stainless steel deep black balcony screw

Stainless steel is the best choice when a permanently secure mounting is required for heavy HPL panels outdoors. For this purpose, our black balcony screws are well equipped, because these are made of solid A2 steel, which is characterized by a very good corrosion resistance. The use of stainless steel, which also has a weatherproof powder coating in deep black, ensures durable fasteners, whose maintenance effort can be reduced to a minimum through care and maintenance.

The basic characteristics of the size are the same for all our balcony screws. For the black screws, only the thread length varies, which we carry optionally in 25mm length or in 30mm length. The thread size remains unchanged and corresponds to the size M5. The screw head is also exactly identical, so that the two lengths can be combined as desired and required, without this being visible from the outside. The outer diameter of the satin-finish screw head is 16mm, making it perfect for covering larger hole sizes and also ensuring a large bearing surface to hold even heavy assembly objects securely. The head shape is slightly lenticular on the upper side so that the overall thickness of approx. 2mm flattens towards the outer edges. This facilitates cleaning and also results in a more pleasant appearance when fastening panels with larger surfaces or when connecting black-painted steel profiles.

While very light colors can yellow due to UV radiation if they do not have sufficient UV resistance, this affects black surfaces by fading. To counteract this, we use a scratch-resistant powder coating with very good UV and weather resistance for the black balcony screws. As a result, the jet-black color of the head coating is retained for many years. The color tone, as well as the silk-matt gloss, is exactly matched to our black HPL sheets in the cut, but is suitable for many other materials with a similar deep black surface due to the RAL color RAL9005 (deep black).

NOTE: To match the black balcony screws, we also offer threaded sleeves in black or cap nuts made of bright stainless steel. However, it should be taken into account that threaded sleeves increase the clamping range of the screw by 1mm to a maximum of 5mm, because they are inserted into the workpiece, the plate or the steel profile and the screw-in thread is therefore internal. In the case of cap nuts or ordinary nuts, the clamping range is reduced because they are screwed onto the threaded screw from the outside. Washers, spring washers or poly washers as spacers also result in a reduction of the clamping range.

Examples of applications for black balcony screws

Balcony screws are used for the construction of balcony surrounds. However, black edgings are usually encountered rather rarely, which is also a reason why we only carry the black screws in two lengths. Nevertheless, these are also available as different complete sets, which contain everything that is required for the assembly of black HPL panels on the different profile types of a balcony or stair railing.

The black threaded screws are especially convenient for black lining pipe systems for hot water production. The sun heats black surfaces very quickly, so the domestic pool can be heated by a few degrees through sustainable energy. In addition, black threaded screws can also be used for a great many machine components and housing covers. In many cases, they can even be screwed directly into the thread of the metal frame provided for this purpose, because the metric thread in size M5 is very common in mechanical engineering. Also for connecting cabinets of a cabinet wall in black wood decor, the black screws can be used very well, especially if these are screwed into black threaded sleeves on the opposite side.
