The balcony screws in dusty grey are made of solid stainless steel and have an M5 thread, the length of which varies from 20mm to 35mm depending on the selection. The dust grey (RAL7037) head paint is UV and weather resistant, so the stainless screws can be used equally well indoors, as well as for outdoor applications. The color and gloss level is the same as our dusty grey HPL panels, which we cut to desired size. The screw head with a diameter of 16mm and a thickness of 2mm also covers sliding point holes inside the panels completely and has a Torx drive of size T20.

NOTE: The screws with head painting in dust grey are available in the sizes M5x20mm, M5x25mm, M5x30mm and M5x35mm. On the M5 thread can be screwed any nut with M5 internal thread, any cap nut in the same thread size, for example our stainless steel cap nuts in high design or our threaded sleeves. The sleeves are also available in dusty grey but also unpainted, as well as in many other trendy colours.

Why buy a complete balcony screw set if you only need the screw, but not the washers, cap nuts or threaded sleeves? That's exactly what we asked ourselves and came to the conclusion that it makes absolute sense to offer the head-painted balcony screws individually as well. After all, they can be screwed into all standard nuts with M5 thread, as well as into threaded dowels or prefabricated threads in steel profiles. By selling loose screws, we save costs for reordering the individual components, which you do not need for your specific application anyway and will dispose of sooner or later. Of course, we pass this price advantage on to you.

Features of stainless steel balcony screw in dusty grey

Not every screw is equally suitable for outdoor use, which is why we deliberately use a high-quality stainless steel alloy for the threaded balcony screws with dusty grey head coating. Specifically, it is solid A2 steel, which is characterized by an extremely good corrosion resistance, so that rust has no chance. Only in this way can we guarantee a permanently secure fastening of facade panels, where the screws do not have to be replaced over time. This also has a positive effect on the costs of care and maintenance for the upkeep of a balcony cladding, a privacy fence or a terrace roofing.

We sell the balcony screws in dusty grey in the sizes M5x20mm, M5x25mm, M5x30mm and M5x35mm at favourable graduated prices. Except for the thread length to which the size refers, all screws are identical. The metric thread in the size M5 is suitable for all nuts and sleeves with internal thread in the same size. The total length of the screw is approximately 2mm longer. This is due to the large screw head, which has a flat bottom and a lenticular top. The outer diameter of 16mm guarantees a safe covering of generously dimensioned drill holes, as they are common, for example, in sliding point drill holes in plastic panels made of HPL or aluminium dibond, if these are mounted professionally without constraint. Diameters of 8mm or even 10mm are common here and vary depending on the material and manufacturer. For easy screwing in of the screws, the screw head is equipped with a Torx drive. This requires a Torx wrench or screwdriver bit in size T20, which can be ordered at the same time if required.

Stainless steel is an essential prerequisite for outdoor use, but this is not the only criterion for the dust grey screws, because the paint must also be highly resistant to all weather conditions. For this reason, we rely on a high-quality powder coating for the head paint in dusty grey, which corresponds to the RAL colour RAL 7037 according to the RAL K5 Classic colour guide, which is characterized by very good UV and weather resistance. There is no fear of yellowing or fading of the trendy grey shade even in adverse weather conditions and prolonged exposure to sunlight, which contains a high proportion of UV radiation.

NOTE: The clamping range for mounting plates on profiles does not depend solely on the thread length. The type of nut must also be taken into account. A threaded sleeve, for example, is inserted into the profile and therefore increases the clamping range. Conventional nuts or cap nuts, are screwed onto the thread from the outside, which reduces the usable thread length of the screw. The same applies to spacers between the plate surface and the load-bearing profile, as well as to steel washers and spring washers for screw retention.

Besides anthracite, dusty grey is one of the most popular colours when it comes to facade cladding and balcony edgings with HPL panels. It is not without reason that we offer the dust grey screws in four different lengths, so that they can be used in combination with our cap nuts or threaded sleeves for almost any form of balcony railing or staircase. Depending on the type of profile to which the panels are to be attached, we also offer practical complete solutions of our balcony screws. The individual screws, on the other hand, are excellent when an additional length is needed without having to repurchase a complete set right away. Likewise, the screws serve excellently as a replacement if the paint has been damaged by incorrect, aggressive cleaners, abrasive cleaners or by unclean processing.

The colour of the threaded screws matches very well with our aluminium composite panels, which, on the other hand, are very often used for large housing covers, window reveals and equipment shelters. Larger machine claddings are also not uncommon in this appealing grey colour. Often, the panels are attached to a specially-made substructure of metal profiles. For this purpose, the threaded screws with head painting are also extremely well-suited and can even be used for the erection of the profile constructions themselves.
