Plastic boards as whiteboards in millimetre-precise sizes from S-Polytec are a real alternative and offer numerous possibilities from backlighting to piano lacquer gloss.
Whiteboards are the modern version of a flip chart and can be found in almost every office and every meeting room.
Task planning, presentations and group work are just a few examples of what can be done very comfortably with a whiteboard, because unlike the traditional flip chart with large sheets of paper, it is quite easy to make corrections without having to directly change the sheet of paper and rewrite everything.
Whiteboards are large white boards that are usually mounted on the wall. They are written on with special whiteboard markers that can be removed again with a sponge. These whiteboards come in a wide variety of sizes and are usually made of lacquered metal, glass or plastic.
The applications of whiteboards are almost unlimited. For example, these washable boards can be used as memo boards, for appointment management and to-do lists, or to keep track of employees' weekly schedules and their respective shifts.
In meetings, whiteboards can be used for a variety of purposes.
In meeting rooms, whiteboards are often used for staff training, group work and so-called brainstorming sessions, but presentations to customers are also not uncommon. Whiteboards are also frequently used in the private sphere, for example to keep track of the appointments of family members, because how quickly is the appointment at the dentist forgotten. The shopping list for the weekly purchase or lists of ingredients for recipes that one would like to cook are also often found on whiteboards. You can also leave a nice little love message for your partner to please him or her.
Basically, there are no standard sizes for whiteboards and so they are available in a wide variety of sizes in rectangular or square. Depending on the intended use, there is a roughly suitable size available on the market for every need. In the kitchen at home, it is more likely to have a smaller format (e.g. 45x60cm or 30x45cm), whereas in the meeting room it is more likely to have a large whiteboard (e.g. 90x150cm or even 120x180cm).
Plastic whiteboards are not uncommon, but they have the disadvantage that they cannot be used as a magnetic board at the same time. Using plastic for a whiteboard also has advantages, however, because plastic does not rust, which can certainly happen by cleaning with a damp cloth, and plastic is usually considerably lighter than metal. In addition, plastic can also be backlit if you use an opal plastic board or even a completely transparent plastic board. Try that with metal.
The plastic panels can be attached directly to the wall, as is usual with whiteboards. Smaller thicknesses are sufficient here. To attach the whiteboard to the wall with small spacers, we recommend a somewhat thicker thickness, depending on the size of the whiteboard, so that the plastic does not bend when writing on it. For free-standing whiteboards on a stand, for example an easel, as often used by painters and artists, thicknesses of around 10mm should be used, as these are sufficiently resistant to bending.

Whiteboards with a high-gloss surface in piano lacquer gloss are a real eye-catcher.
Our DecoVitas Decor boards with a self-adhesive back, have a wickedly radiant gloss and can be stuck to almost all flat surfaces without any problems. The panels are resistant to scratching and are very easy to clean.
Thanks to the low thickness of 1mm (1.2mm for decorative panels with metallic effect), it almost looks as if you are writing directly on the wall. Another advantage is that you can also turn your kitchen cabinets or filing cabinets into a whiteboard in no time at all.
For high-gloss whiteboards that are to be placed at a slight distance from the wall, we also stock DecoVitas decorative panels in the colour SnowWhite with a thickness of 3mm. However, these do not have an adhesive layer on the back.
DecoVitas can be configured to the millimetre as desired up to a size of 2.44x1.22 metres via our online shop. Our cut-to-size configurator immediately calculates your individual price.
