The robust stainless steel spacer in the size 15x15mm is one of the mostly used wall spacers and is perfectly fit for smaller or medium-sized signs or wall images. However, due to its large load capacity of ca. 15kg it is also no problem to install larger formats or materials with larger tare weight. The load capacity of this small spacer is owed to the character of its stainless V2A steel manufacturing. Despite this it has a tare weight of merely 27 grams per spacer. Stainless steel additionally has the crucial benefit that it can be used in damp rooms or outdoors carefree.

Characteristics of Our 15x15mm Spacer

The Spacer with a diameter of 15mm and a wall distance of 15mm belongs to the most popular sizes and are perfectly fit for installing small warning signs, such as for labelling office bureaus, emergency exits or fire extinguishers, but also for larger company signs for outdoors. This is due to to the small, optically pleasing wall mount with a load capacity of approximately 15kg. The screwable head is directly screwed into the spacer sleeve of the wall mount and is excellent for the installation on surfaces which are hard to reach. In case you it is preferred to use a spacer that is hard to remove, in our online shop we also offer Spacers with locking screws with a 13mm or 15mm diameter.

All our spacers in the online shop are made of V2A stainless steel. Both the screwable head and the spacer sleeve are made of one material. This means that the spacers do not contain a pressed brass or aluminium core. Consequently the spacers have a higher load capacity and are more convenient for using outdoors, too.

NOTE:For screwing on the cover caps no additional tool is needed, because these can be screwed onto the spacer sleeve easily.

The clamping area of the spacer refers to the collective strength of all plates including the optional distance- or intermediate rings and amounts up to maximally 10mm.

Installation of the solid stainless steel spacer

With our spacers in the size 15mm x15mm the installation of plates and signs with a strength between 3mm and 10mm is possible. The maximum load capacity of the screwable spacer mounts up to approximately 15kg and therefore it is perfectly fit for small to medium-sized signs and billboards. Depending on the load capacity and solidity of the surface or the inherent stability of the plate to be installed it is recommended to use multiple spacers for the installation than required.

TIP: The diameter of the spacer is 15mm. For an appealing optical look we recommend am edge distance of 15-25mm from the drilling holes. Furthermore, this has the benefit that it will prevent the holes from bursting towards the edge of the sign, which could occur during installation.

The installation of the spacers proceeds in three steps. In the first step the drilling holes of the plate are transferred onto the wall. After that, the sleeves are screwed into the wall to procure steady and secure support. In the last step the screw heads are screwed through the sign and into the spacer sleeves. Mind that before the installation the holes have to be drilled into the plates first. We recommend a hole size with a diameter of 10mm to 12mm. Herewith it is guaranteed that the drilling hole can always be fully covered by the cover caps. When drilling, mind a solid foundation and follow the installation instructions of the used material with respect to the thermal expansion or the recommendations with regard to the distances between the fixation points. These can vary per strength and weigh of the plates.

NOTE: For screwing the spacer sleeves screws with a head diameter of maximally 8,0mm and a thread diameter of maximally 6,0mm can be used. With smaller signs that have less weight countersunk-head screws in the size 5,0 x 60mm are recommended. When using plates with much weight we advise using screws in the size 6,0 x 80mm or longer.
