The facade screws in wine red in the size 5.5 x 35mm with a head diameter of 12mm are made of A4 stainless steel. The round screw head is lacquered. The satin-finish colour of the head lacquer matches the Trespa® Meteon® facade panels in Wine Red (A12.6.3) exactly and also corresponds in gloss level to the surfaces of the Trespa® panels in satin finish. The HPL screws are absolutely corrosion-resistant, UV-resistant and scratch-resistant.

The wine-red screws are manufactured in accordance with the DIN EN 14592 standard. This standard is decisive if the facade screws are to be used in accordance with the general type approval for ventilated facade systems with Trespa® Meteon® FR panels made of high-pressure laminate for the erection of vertical facade cladding on timber support battens.

NOTE: A screwdriver bit in size ISR20 is required for mounting the facade screws in wine red. Suitable bits are available in our shop at favourable prices.

Properties of our HPL screws in wine red

Facade screws are mainly used for the installation of facade cladding outdoors, so they must also have sufficient resistance to weathering. Our HPL screws are made of a very high quality A4 stainless steel alloy, which is characterised by outstanding corrosion resistance. The partially threaded screws with an overall length of 35mm and a thread diameter of 5.5mm, are suitable for panels up to 8mm thick. The round, flat screw head with non-slip Torx drive has a diameter of 12mm. The required 8mm holes are always completely covered when installing HPL as a facade cladding without any constraints.

All our facade screws have a scratch-resistant head coating. This is UV and weather resistant so that the colour fastness of the screws is guaranteed in the long term. The colour of the wine red screws is specially matched to the panels in Wine Red with the colour code A12.6.3 of the Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS collection with satin surface, so that an almost invisible installation is possible.

Installation of HPL panels with our facade screws

The facade screws with head lacquering in wine red are approved for the installation of vertical facade systems with Trespa® Meteon® panels on a supporting lath construction made of wood. Apart from the requirements for the substructure, strict specifications also apply to the fasteners and their proper use, as well as the type of installation. This also includes the constraint-free execution of the assembly. This means that the panels are not hindered by the screw connections in the event of thermal expansion. This is achieved by defining a fixed point screw connection, which is usually chosen in the centre of the panel, so that the panel can expand equally strongly on all sides. The remaining screw connections serve as sliding points. The hole for the sliding points in the panel must be drilled with 8mm and is thus significantly higher than the diameter of the threadless screw shaft. The fixed point hole can be drilled with a 6mm drill. It is important not to overtighten the screws. As soon as the screw head rests on the plate, the screw should not be screwed in any further.

The number of fasteners for facade panels, which is determined by the panel size, the panel thickness and the expected loads, is subject to clear regulations that are specified in the general type approval. For ventilated facade systems with Trespa® Meteon® panel in 8mm thickness, the distance between two screw fixings must not exceed 700mm. For 6mm panels, the maximum distance is 600mm. If higher tensile loads are expected, for example caused by wind, these distances must even be reduced. The minimum and maximum distances for edge fixings are also clearly regulated in the type approval. While the distance to the edge of the panel of at least 20mm applies regardless of the panel thickness, the maximum edge distance results from ten times the panel thickness in mm. For the 8mm slabs that we stock in our online shop, this means that the edge fastening may be positioned at a maximum distance of 80mm from the slab edge.

The decorative panels Trespa® Meteon® in Wine Red are not only very popular for facade systems. The dark red also sets appealing colour accents in kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms. For example, as partial wall panelling above the kitchen unit, behind the headboard of the bed, or as a shelf back panel above the television. Here, too, the HPL screws can be excellently used for inconspicuous fastening.
