Our S-Polybond MULTIpolitur of our own brand S-Polybond, is a fine-grained polishing paste that is suitable for polishing smooth surfaces. The silicone-free paste polishes surfaces extremely gently and renews the shine of dull, weathered paintwork and is ideally suited for vehicle preparation. In addition, the polishing paste can also be used excellently for jewellery made of gold, silver or platinum, or as a chrome polish and also effectively removes flash rust. Due to the very fine-grained polishing particles, which are comparable to sandpaper with 6000 grit, fine scratches are removed and the surfaces are smoothed, which counteracts renewed dirt adhesion. Processing can be done by hand with a soft cloth or with a machine with a soft polishing attachment at low speed.
MULTIpolitur from our own brand S-Polybond is a silicone-free polishing paste that is available ready-to-use in a 150ml tube. The very fine-grained paste produces a high surface gloss on all smooth, non-porous surfaces without scratching them and is suitable for reconditioning dull or weathered paint surfaces, as well as for polishing up glossy plastic surfaces such as polycarbonate, GRP or DecoVitas. The surface is smoothed and fine scratches are removed. The polishing paste has a cleaning effect so that it can also be used to clean metals, precious metals (e.g. gold, platinum or silver) and chrome. Flash rust or tarnish marks are removed extremely gently so that the surfaces reflect with a high gloss.
S-Polybond MULTIpolitur is free of grease, wax or silicone. Therefore, the polish is extremely suitable for preparing car paints for vehicle foiling, the so-called car wrapping. The polish can be removed with a soft cloth without leaving any residue, so that a very good adhesion of the films is ensured. Weathered plastic headlights, which are usually made of polycarbonate, can also be treated with our universal polish. In this way, cloudiness and fine scratches in the headlight housing can be removed. Helmet visors, plastic windows of motorbikes or painted plastic coverings of motorbikes, boats, caravans or playground equipment in the garden can also be treated in the same way.
NOTE: For cleaning and polishing with the universal polishing paste, a soft, lint-free cloth or polishing attachment is the best choice.
Preparation of the surfaces
Dirt deposits on the surfaces can sometimes cause deep scratches in the surfaces during polishing. It is therefore important that all surfaces that are to be polished with the MULTIpolitur polishing paste should be thoroughly cleaned beforehand and rinsed with plenty of clean water.
Dosing the polishing paste
The versatile polishing paste MULTIpolitur can be applied directly to the cleaned surface and spread over the surface with a cloth in circular movements with moderate pressure. The use of a polishing machine with a soft polishing attachment is less laborious, but such a device is mainly suitable for larger, flat work, for example in vehicle polishing. In order to achieve the best possible effect of the polish, the paste must not dry on and, if necessary, be moistened with clear water, for example by wetting with a spray gun. In addition, it should be avoided to apply the paste in direct sunlight. Sunlight heats up the surfaces too much, causing the polishing paste to dry too quickly. The best results are achieved at surface temperatures between +5°C and +30°C at the most.
To polish watches or jewellery made of stainless steel, gold, silver or similar, a little polishing paste can be applied to a polishing cloth. A multi-function tool, for example a Dremel, with a suitable polishing insert can also be used very well for polishing the usually small jewellery items. However, even with such small surfaces, care should be taken to ensure that the paste does not dry out and that it is always kept moist. Finally, the paste can be taken up with another polishing cloth to achieve the final shine of the precious metals.
NOTE: After polishing, a final cleaning with a mild cleaner or clear water may be necessary to wash off the last veils of polish and to achieve a streak-free surface shine of the freshly polished surface.
WARNING: The universal polishing paste is suitable for almost all smooth surfaces, but cannot be used on anodised aluminium surfaces or on matt, satin surfaces, as the polishing paste produces a high surface gloss. The polishing paste is also unsuitable for acrylic and Plexiglas.
When using our S-Polubond MULTIpolitur Universal Polishing Paste, the information on handling and personal protective equipment during processing is important. For these reasons, both the safety data sheet and the technical data sheet for the product should be read and adhered to. In addition, cleaning and polishing agents should always be stored in such a way that they cannot get into the hands of children.
