Our S-Polylight LED recessed spotlights in a complete set with LED power controller, remote control, connection cables and bi-metal hole saw are available in various set sizes with 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 mini-LED recessed spotlights. These are small Ø36mm LED spotlights in warm white (3000K) with an individual output of 3 watts and a painted aluminium housing in anthracite grey (RAL 7016). The LED power controller combines the 12V power supply unit and the 2.4GHz radio receiver with dimming function in a compact housing. It can control up to 12 spots with a maximum total output of 36 watts. As a lighting set that is perfectly matched to our patio covers, all components are suitable for protected outdoor areas.
The matching Ø28mm bi-metal hole saw is included FREE with every set!
Our S-Polylight LED recessed spotlights in a complete set include everything required for installation and operation. The lights can be connected without special knowledge using simple plug connections. For maximum ease of use, the set also includes a high-quality 2.4 GHz wireless remote control with a range of up to 30 metres. It can be used to switch the lighting on and off and dim it, and to adjust the warm white light to the desired brightness as required.
NOTE: The number of recessed LED spotlights and 5M connection cables included in the scope of delivery depends on the size of the set.
Probably the most important component of the set are the mini-LED spotlights with an outer diameter of just 36 mm. The lights are included in varying numbers depending on the size of the set. These are high-quality 5050 SMD LED chips in warm white with an output of 3 watts. The maximum brightness is 190 lumens per individual spot but can be reduced as required using the remote control. The housing of the compact recessed spotlights is made of aluminium painted in anthracite grey. This makes the small spots ideal for our patio roofs in anthracite grey, but they are also suitable for almost all other roofs in RAL 7016. Also, they can be used in a visually unobtrusive way in ceiling cladding, roof overhangs or fences made of HPL, aluminium or lacquered wood in anthracite. The installation opening for the spotlights must have a diameter of 28 mm and a depth of 29 mm. These are very small dimensions. That way, the mini spotlights can be installed in even the tightest of spaces. Strong clamping brackets hold the spots securely in the desired position.
The S-Polylight LED power controller forms the centrepiece of the lighting, as it ensures the power supply to the individual recessed LED spotlights. It also serves as a control unit in combination with the remote control. In simple terms, this is a 12V power supply unit that is plugged into the socket via a mains cable with a Euro plug. A HUB with 12 slots is used to connect the spots, so that up to 12 individual spots with a total output of 36 watts can be connected. The corresponding connection cables with a 2-pin plug for the HUB and a screw plug contact for connecting to the spotlight are always included in the same quantity as the mini LED spotlights. With a length of 5 metres, the cable is sufficient for the vast majority of applications. The cable can be extended to 10 or 15 metres if required by using optionally available cable extensions.
To maximise the ease of use of the lighting, each set comes with a small remote control that is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). This remote control can be used to switch the lighting on and off from a distance of up to 30 metres. Thanks to radio transmission, this even works through walls. For dimming, the remote control offers several functions for reducing and increasing the brightness in 10% or 20% increments, as well as three additional express keys for setting the brightness to 25% or 75% at the touch of a button, as well as a night light function.
The bi-metal hole saw with a diameter of 28 mm included in the scope of delivery is optimally matched to the installation diameter and is suitable for drilling aluminium. From which, the intermediate struts of our anthracite grey patio roofs are made, for example, as well as for wood-based materials, plasterboard, plastics and laminate. Thanks to the solid triangular shank, the hole saw can be used with any standard cordless screwdriver. That way you can start installing your new LED lighting without delay.
The lighting set is installed in four simple steps. Everything you need is included in the scope of delivery, so you can get started as soon as you receive it. All you need is a simple cordless screwdriver and 2 1.5V AAA batteries for the remote control.
1. drilling the mounting holes
Regardless of whether the spots are to be integrated into a patio roof, a plasterboard ceiling or a step, they must be marked at the desired positions and drilled with a diameter of 28 mm. It is only important to ensure that the installation depth is 29 mm and that the connecting cables to the power controller can be laid. So that you can drill the holes to the perfect size, we include the matching bi-metal hole saw FREE OF CHARGE with every order of complete LED sets. This can be used in any cordless screwdriver with a conventional drill chuck. The centring drill ensures exact positioning of the circular cut-outs. Adjust the speed to the material to be drilled.
2. laying the connecting cables
Once the holes have been drilled in the desired locations, the connecting cable must be laid from the LED spotlight to the power controller. Please note that the small white 2-pin plug must be laid in the direction of the power controller. Even if the connection cable has a strong protective sheath, care should be taken when laying it to ensure that it is not pulled over sharp saw edges or laid too tightly to avoid damaging the cable. If the cable is not long enough despite the length of 5 metres, it can be extended by a further 5 metres on the side with the screwable plug contact for the LED spot using an optionally available extension cable.
3. connecting the LED spotlights
As soon as all the cables have been laid, they can be connected to the LED spotlights. To do this, the short connection cable with the plug is first plugged into the extension cable. A notch on the underside prevents the two-pole plug from being plugged in the wrong way round, which would result in the light not lighting up with direct current. The plastic screw connection with integrated seal ensures a cable connection that is protected from dust and splash water, which is particularly important for use in protected outdoor areas. The compact recessed spotlights can now be inserted into the opening. To do this, open the clamping brackets by bending both in the opposite direction at the same time and guiding them through the small hole. These are under strong tension to achieve a high clamping force. For this reason, care should be taken here to avoid pinching your fingers. The other side of the connection cable can now be plugged into the black HUB. Here too, a small pin prevents the plug from being inserted incorrectly. Repeat the process for each individual LED spot until all are connected to the HUB.
4. switch on the power and pair
Before plugging the main plug into the socket provided, you should fit the remote control with batteries and keep them to hand. The Euro plug of the LED power controller can now be plugged in. The lighting is now in operation. If you briefly press the mode button in the centre of the circular brightness control on the remote control once within 5 seconds of switching on the power supply, a connection is established between the remote control and the controller. You can now conveniently switch on the lighting, adjust the brightness or switch it off using the wireless remote control.
WARNING: Only the supplied connection cables or optional extension cables may be used to connect the LED recessed spotlights to the LED power controller and its connection to the power supply. Direct connection of the spots to 230V AC voltage is not permitted. Failure to do so may result in death.
