Our Paracryl Parquet in middle oak is a sealant that is specially manufactured for sealing and repairing oak wood. The acrylic sealant is particularly suitable for filling uneven areas, cracks, holes and damage in wood, for example in wooden doors, frames, stairs or furniture. Paracryl Parquet is also the ideal sealant for wooden floors such as cork, laminate, parquet or oak planks, for example for grouting wall and skirting boards. Paracryl Parquet middle oak does not attack the wood surfaces because it contains no solvents and is free of phthalates or silicones. This means that the parquet acrylic can later be sanded very well or painted over with wall paint or varnish. As a wood acrylic that meets even the highest demands, Paracryl Parquet has excellent adhesion to all porous building materials such as wood, plaster, concrete, sand-lime bricks or bricks and also adheres very well to metallic surfaces or tiles.

Paracryl Parquet is a ready-to-use acrylic sealant for parquet and laminate that can be used for interior applications. The one-component sealant in the 310ml standard cartridge, can be applied with any commercially available cartridge press, such as our FOME FLEX Black Edition can be applied with the inexpensive skeleton gun. Thanks to the permanently elastic properties with a permissible deformation of up to 12.5%, the parquet acrylic is perfect for sealing wall connection joints of skirting boards on oak floor coverings. The acrylic can also be used for sealing door frames, as such joints are also subject to movement. It should be noted, however, that the permissible deformation of around 5% is significantly lower as long as the acrylic has not yet fully cured.
The paste-like sealant is also suitable for applications where there is no mechanical stress due to movement. This includes, among other things, filling gaps, cracks or defects in the wood, as well as filling unevenness in the surface. With a density of 1.65g/ml, Parquet Acrylic is very easy to apply. In direct comparison with conventional painter's acrylic, Paracryl Parquet has a higher surface hardness and can therefore be reworked much better after curing. Parquet acrylic can be sanded so that an absolutely even surface can be achieved. If necessary, this can be painted over with all dispersion-based paints and varnishes, but we recommend testing for material compatibility beforehand.
Parquet acrylic cures by drying, during which the moisture contained in the sealant evaporates in the form of water. No harmful substances are secreted during the curing process. Even after curing is complete, no harmful substances of concern diffuse from the sealant, so the acrylic can be used in the house or flat without any hesitation. This is certified by the classification according to the VOC emission class with the best grade A+.
NOTE: If the cartridge is not emptied, the acrylic can still be used until the expiry date, provided that the cartridge is stored in an airtight container at a cool temperature between +5°C and +25°C.
Paracryl Parquet Middle Oak is applied directly into the joint or onto the surface, similar to a silicone sealant. All tools that are also used for sealing with silicone are therefore also suitable for smoothing. Joints can be smoothed very well with a finger or a joint scraper. For larger surfaces, a painter's spatula or a smoother is very helpful. Because acrylic is water-soluble, there is no need to use special smoothing agents, as normal tap water is perfectly adequate for smoothing.
The parquet acrylic in medium oak is colour-coordinated with oak wood and is therefore excellently suited for sealing joints between skirting boards and oak floor coverings. This includes, among others, country house floorboards, parquet floors or laminate with oak grain. In addition, the acrylic is excellent for repairing beams, boards and planks where cracks, holes or irregularities need to be filled. The acrylic for wood materials is also very popular for furniture restorations. In this way, damage to antique small furniture, display cabinets, shelves and cupboards made of oak can be concealed in an extremely inconspicuous way.
Acrylic is water-soluble as long as the skin has not yet formed. For this reason, the sealant can be smoothed with simple tap water. A little water is also sufficient for cleaning surfaces and tools. After curing, the sealant for oak wood can only be cut out or removed with a scraper.
NOTE: Paracryl Parquet is not water-resistant and can therefore not be used outdoors, nor for joint sealants that may come into regular or permanent contact with water. Paracryl is also not suitable for PVC, vinyl flooring or linoleum, so we advise the use of a silicone sealant in these cases.
