Our Aqua-Plus PP-R ball outlet tap with an external thread is suitable for all wall connections with an internal thread in the size 1/2" and can be used outdoors without hesitation due to its manufacture from UV-stabilised polypropylene. Thanks to the pre-mounted hose nozzle in 13mm, the outlet tap is ideal for connecting garden irrigation systems with standard garden hoses with 19mm hose diameter. The thread for screwing into the wall connection, as well as the ball valve and the handle lever, are made of a high-quality brass alloy. The seals of the ball valve, as well as the sealing ring between the outlet and the screwable hose connector, are made of durable EPDM.

The outlet tap is approved for use for drinking water supply. When the hose connector is unscrewed, the spout has a 3/4" external plastic thread, so that a washing machine, a water supply for a heating system or a dishwasher can also be connected there (possibly by using a suitable reducer).

Features of the PP-R ball outlet tap with lever handle

The Aqua-Plus ball outlet tap made of white polypropylene random copolymer, is an outlet tap with threaded connection in 1/2" external thread made of solid brass. The floating ball valve with handle lever is also made of brass and is characterised by its enormous durability. The ball is sealed on both sides by two high-quality EPDM seals. For a better feel, the smooth-running handle lever is completely covered with red polypropylene. The outlet tap is made of UV-stable PP, so that it can also be used for wall connections outdoors, for example for connecting garden irrigation systems, without having to worry about restrictions to its service life due to the effects of the weather.

The outlet of the ball valve is provided with a 3/4 inch external thread on which a 13 mm hose connector is screwed, which can be easily unscrewed if required. This is used to connect a garden hose with a hose diameter of 19 mm. For optimum tightness of the screw connection of the hose connector, an EPDM seal is inserted. As an alternative to the pre-mounted hose nozzle, reducers, pipe couplings or hose couplings from hose connector systems (e.g. Gardena, Kärcher, ProGarden, etc.) can also be screwed onto the plastic thread on the outlet.

With the outlet valve, you are not limited to use within a PP-R pipe system. Thanks to the brass thread in 1/2 inch, the ball valve can be screwed into any wall connection with an internal thread. Thanks to the dead space-free design of the ball valve, with a floating brass ball, there are no deposits due to limescale and impurities caused by old copper or steel pipes, so that the movement and tightness of the valve are not affected.

Use of the PP-R ball outlet valve

The outlet tap is simply screwed into the wall connection bracket and is then immediately ready for use. However, you are not limited to connections of the PP-R system from Aqua-Plus. The outlet tap has a 1/2 inch external thread, so that any internal thread, from T-piece, angle coupling or even simple pipe couplings can be screwed in, regardless of whether they are plastic pipes, aluminium, copper or steel pipes. The only prerequisite is that they have a female thread of the appropriate size or that an adapter is used to enable the connection.

The unscrewable hose nozzle made of white PP-R enables easy connection of all standard garden hoses with a hose diameter of 19mm (3/4"). These are simply pushed onto the hose nozzle and screwed tight with a clamp. Alternatively, a plug-in coupling for hose systems with 3/4" external thread can be screwed onto the plastic thread of the outlet tap. If desired, reducers or couplings can also be screwed onto the external thread of the tap outlet.

When screwing brass threads, it is advisable to use some hemp fibre or special Teflon tape for perfect tightness before making the screw connection. To ensure that the outlet tap is screwed in far enough, a pipe wrench can be useful. However, the rough jaws of the pliers can leave unsightly marks on the plastic. We therefore recommend placing a cloth between them so that the pliers do not have direct contact with the plastic surface.

NOTE: In contrast to fittings with welded joints, the ball outlet tap is simply screwed into the internal thread provided. A socket welder is not required for the use of the tap.
