The silicone SILIKONprofi in pure white is a permanently elastic adhesive and sealant of our own brand S-Polybond, which we offer in a 310ml standard cartridge. The enormously UV- and weather-resistant sealant is excellently suited for permanent outdoor use. In addition, our neutral-curing alkoxy silicone can be used indoors without hesitation, thanks to its absolutely MEKO-free formula, and is characterised by virtually odourless processing and curing.

Properties of the pure white alkoxy-based silicone

Our pure white silicone is ideally suited for long-lasting sealing in outdoor areas due to its excellent resistance to weathering and UV radiation. With a temperature application range of -50°C to +150°C, permanently elastic structural waterproofing is guaranteed, even in deep frost or high temperatures caused by intense sunlight. The costs of maintaining the building are kept as low as possible, because there is no need to worry about premature yellowing or embrittlement and the associated premature replacement of the maintenance joints with our extremely ageing-resistant sealant in pure white.

The alkoxy silicone in RAL 9010 is neutral-curing and, according to the VOC emission classes, classified as particularly low-emission with the top grade A+. In contrast to acetate-based sealants that cross-link with vinegar, processing and cross-linking take place without the formation of strong, unpleasant odours. Conventional OXIM silicones release 2-butanone oximes, which are also known as MEKOs and are suspected of being carcinogenic. Thanks to the absolutely MEKO-free formulation, our pure white silicone is physiologically harmless and can be used indoors without further ado.

Persistent moisture is an optimal breeding ground for mould growth, which is why sealants with mould-inhibiting properties are preferred in damp rooms. Our silicone in pure white is perfectly suited for these demanding applications thanks to its fungicidal finish and provides reliable and hygienic sealing protection for a long time, even under heavy and persistent moisture exposure.

Our pure white silicone is manufactured according to the RAL colour system, which precisely defines colour shades and clearly names them using four-digit colour codes. This ensures a worldwide standard for colour matching of materials in industry, crafts and design. Thus, our sealant in RAL 9010 is ideally suited for inconspicuous sealing of the opaque acrylic glass sheets available in our online shop in the identical white shade RAL 9010. During and after filling, our silicone is subject to regular quality controls. These ensure not only a consistently high and consistent pigmentation, but also a perfectly matched consistency and elasticity.

Thanks to a permissible deformation of 25%, our sealant in pure white has excellent durability on almost all common materials. This is the case even on materials that expand or contract to different degrees under the same temperature change, without exception. Processing of silicone SILIKONprofi in pure white

Our pure white alkoxy silicone has an excellent viscosity and is therefore very easy to apply with a conventional cartridge gun. The professional-quality sealant should be applied evenly and not too sparingly to the joint. In the subsequent smoothing process, a joint spatula is passed over the applied silicone with an even movement and light pressure. This removes excess material and achieves optimum flank adhesion. Taking into account the ideal processing temperature at room temperature (approx. 20°C), skin formation begins after a time of approx. 10 minutes, which also corresponds to the processing time.

Some preparations should be made beforehand to ensure optimal adhesion of the adhesive and sealant in pure white. For this purpose, the surfaces to be sealed or bonded should be thoroughly cleaned of all impurities. Conventional vinegar or citrus cleaners can be used for cleaning. The surfaces should then be dried thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.

Our pure white silicone is not only excellent for sealing, but also for simple bonding of joined parts with a light own weight or a large bonding surface. During the application of the adhesive, care should be taken that the silicone in RAL 9010 is not applied over a large area, because cross-linking takes place with contact to air humidity. Therefore, the application should be done in the form of stripes, waves or dots with a certain distance to each other. The parts to be bonded are then fixed in the desired position and pressed firmly against each other until the adhesive and sealant have fully cured. If parts with a high weight or objects with a high tensile force are to be bonded, we recommend using an assembly adhesive such as our ultra-strong MS polymer Parabond 600 in white.

NOTE: After opening, the cartridge of SILIKONprofi sealant should be sealed airtight. In addition, the sealant should be stored in a dry and cool place at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C for optimum storage life.

Examples of use for our premium silicone in pure white

The extremely UV- and weather-resistant sealant in pure white is ideal for sealing the connection joints between the overflow gutter of a swimming pool and the adjacent pool edge stones made of white concrete. Thanks to its excellent chemical resistance, reliable sealing protection is ensured despite constant contact with chlorine. The ageing-resistant silicone in RAL 9010 is also first-class for sealing the connection joints between a door frame made of white aluminium and a white plaster facade. Due to its first-class weatherproof properties, our permanently elastic silicone ensures a highly age-resistant seal against the penetration of unwanted draughts, even under the most adverse weather conditions, such as acid rain or deep frost. This significantly optimises energy efficiency in terms of thermal insulation.

Also indoors in the interior, optimised thermal insulation can be achieved by sealing in the necessary places. This includes, for example, the connection joints on roller shutter boxes. Our pure white silicone is ideally suited for the airtight and moisture-resistant sealing of such joints. Due to its mould-inhibiting properties, our sealant is extremely well suited for long-lasting seals in wellness areas. Among other things, for the connection joints between a free-standing whirlpool and a fine floor covering of white mosaic tiles. Despite continuous and heavy exposure to moisture, penetration of moisture and dirt behind the building structure is prevented. Mould formation is effectively prevented in the process.

For the individual embellishment of furniture pieces, decorative and detailed carved wood ornaments are often used. These can be easily glued in place with our pure white adhesive and sealant. Thanks to its first-class elasticity, this is possible with a wide variety of materials. For example, an ornament made of wood can be attached to a high-gloss lacquered chest of drawers made of aluminium without hesitation.

CAUTION: The silicone sealant in pure white adheres quite well to untreated natural stone. However, the compatibility should be tested on a leftover piece or an inconspicuous spot before use in order to rule out undesirable joint edge discolouration on the sensitive material beforehand.

Please ensure sufficient ventilation at the workplace during the processing of silicone SILIKONprofi in pure white (RAL9010). In addition, the information on personal protective equipment, as well as the technical data sheet and the safety sheet for our alkoxy silicone must be observed. Furthermore, silicones and adhesives must always be stored in such a way that children cannot access them under any circumstances.
