Our S-Polylight wireless remote control is suitable for switching our recessed LED spotlights with S-Polylight LED power controller on and off and for adjusting the brightness. Thanks to the 2.4 GHz frequency range, operation is even possible without visual contact with the receiver. With a range of up to 30 metres, the lighting can even be switched or dimmed from a greater distance, even through walls. The compact ABS housing and rubberised buttons ensure easy operation. Thanks to the express keys, the brightness of the recessed spotlights can be set to 25% or 75% or to night light mode at the touch of a button. A simple press of a button is also all that is needed for stress-free pairing.

The wireless remote control is supplied individually, for example as a second remote control or replacement. It requires a compatible S-Polylight LED power controller for use, which is not included in the delivery. The two AAA batteries required to operate the remote control are also not included, so you have the choice of using batteries or opting for sustainable rechargeable batteries.

Features of the wireless remote control with dimming function

The wireless remote control is suitable for controlling the brightness and switching our recessed LED spotlights on and off in combination with the S-Polylight LED power controller. It is ideal as a second remote control or as a replacement for a lost remote control for our lighting sets. A remote control is always included in every complete set of our dimmable LED recessed spotlights, with LED power controller from our own S-Polylight brand, as well as with individual controllers. The compact housing sits comfortably in the hand and is made of robust ABS plastic. The rubberised buttons ensure a pleasant feel when controlling the lighting. There is a small battery compartment on the back of the remote control that holds two 1.5V AAA batteries, which are not included in the scope of delivery. Alternatively, the remote control can also be operated with commercially available 1.2V rechargeable batteries of size Micro (AAA).

The main advantage of a wireless remote control compared to an outdated infrared remote control is the ease of use. Thanks to the 2.4 GHz frequency range, no direct visual contact with the receiver is required. It means that the LED power controller can be installed concealed in the wall, ceiling or inside the strut covers of our patio covers. The range of up to 30 metres allows the LED installation ports to be operated from almost any position, even through walls.

The wireless remote control simplifies the use of our LED lighting for our compact recessed spotlights and offers maximum convenience. The recessed spotlights can be dimmed down to night mode with a brightness of around 15% at the touch of a button. Additional buttons for 25% or 75% brightness, as well as increasing or decreasing the light intensity in 10% increments with the left or right button of the circle, and in 20% increments with the top and bottom buttons, allow the lighting to be quickly adjusted to personal taste.

Connecting and using the remote control

The remote control is identical to those included in our complete LED sets as outdoor lighting for patio roofs and is suitable for switching on, dimming or switching off the compact recessed spotlights. It is important that the LED power controller included in the set is used for this, as it has an integrated radio receiver that can be paired with the remote control at the touch of a button. If the controller is purchased individually from our shop, it is always supplied with a compatible remote control. Our single remote control therefore serves the purpose that the lighting can be controlled with an additional second remote control, or as a replacement device for a lost or damaged radio remote control.

Pairing at the touch of a button
To use the remote control to control the LED lighting, it must be connected to an LED power controller. All you need to do is press a button. To do this, the power supply to the power controller must be disconnected from the mains via the switch or the fuse, and be switched on again after a few minutes to put the controller into pairing mode. A short press on the centre mode switch within 5 seconds sets up the connection between the LED power controller and the wireless remote control. That is it already. Now, all the functions of the remote control can be used to switch on or off, as well as dimming via the express keys or the control circuit.

NOTE: If several compatible lighting sets are operated on the same circuit, the remote control automatically pairs with all power controllers that have been set to pairing mode by switching off and on.

Easy decoupling from the controller
To disconnect the remote control from the LED power controller, the power supply from the power controller must first be disconnected from the mains via the light switch or the fuse. It must then be switched on again. The mode switch in the centre of the brightness control must be pressed and held for a few seconds within 5 seconds. This can be useful if you want to pair the remote control with another controller or control several controllers with one remote control.

Storage and care of the remote control

There is actually not much to consider when storing and caring for a remote control, but it should not be stored outdoors in high humidity or low temperatures, and should instead be taken into the house or flat protected from moisture and rain. Thanks to the robust ABS housing, the remote control can easily withstand light falls without its function being impaired. To clean dirt and dust from the remote control, we recommend wiping the surfaces with a damp, non-wet cloth if necessary.

If the wireless remote control is not used for a longer period of time, as well as in cold or damp environments, the batteries should be removed from the device to prevent premature discharge due to cold, as well as battery corrosion due to discharge inside the device.
