PETG - transparent, flame retardant, food compliant

PETG sheets have a standard format of 2.0x1.0 metres and are available from us in thicknesses of 1mm-15mm.

PETG sheets offered by us are protected on both sides by a protective film, so that no scratches can occur on the surfaces during shipping and damage to the plastic sheets can also be avoided during further processing of the material.

PETG is a highly resistant plastic that can also be used at very low temperatures of up to -40°C. Even at such temperatures, our PETG sheets are impact-resistant and break-proof. Even at such temperatures, our PETG sheets are impact and break-resistant and, thanks to their approval for use in the food sector, are ideal for the production of refrigerated counters in food markets or butcher's shops. The material is also very suitable for use in the catering industry, for example, when it comes to display windows in refrigerators.

PETG is not UV-resistant, so we do not recommend using it outdoors. PETG sheets can, however, be used outdoors if the surface is fully coated with varnish or covered with film lettering or digital printing so that the surface is not directly exposed to UV radiation. If you still need transparent plastic sheets for outdoor use, we recommend our polycarbonate sheets or our acrylic sheets.

PETG sheets up to 3mm thickness are rolled and from 3mm thickness are shipped on pallets. If you would like to have 1 and 2mm sheets shipped on pallets, please contact us.

Processing of our PETG sheets

Our PETG sheets can be processed excellently without great effort. PETG can be added with any commercially available circular saw. Milling, drilling, turning or screwing is also no problem with PETG.

PETG is also very easy to thermoform and has good thermoforming properties. In addition, this transparent plastic can be painted, printed or laminated very well.

We recommend that the protective film(s) is/are not removed until machining and processing is complete in order to avoid unwanted scratches on the surface.
