Our facade screws in golden yellow with the dimensions Ø 5.5 x 35mm with round screw head in diameter Ø 12mm are made of stainless A4 steel. This alloy is characterised by a very good corrosion resistance, as well as a very good acid resistance and are therefore ideal as fasteners for panels in outdoor areas. The colour of the lacquered screw heads corresponds to the surface decor of the Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS facade panels in Gold Yellow (A04.1.7) with a satin finish. The subtle sheen of the satin-finish panels is also reflected exactly on the screws. The scratch-resistant head lacquer is UV and weather resistant.
The golden yellow facade screws can be purchased in any quantity - Also individual screws.
For the construction of ventilated facade systems with Trespa® Meteon® FR panels, strict requirements apply to the fasteners. Our facade screws in golden yellow with a flat screw head, comply with DIN EN 14592, so that they comply with the general type approval and are approved as such for facade cladding in outdoor areas.
NOTE: The screws have a modern drive with hexagon socket in size ISR20 (Tx20), which can be ordered at the same time if required.
Facade screws for facade systems are mostly used for cladding exterior walls. This places special demands on the metal from which the screws are made. We deliberately use an extremely high-quality A4 steel alloy for our screws, which is characterised by outstanding corrosion resistance and very good acid resistance. Another requirement for the fastener for ventilated facade systems with Trespa® Meteon® panels according to the general type approval is the nature of the screw itself. This must have a flat, round head with a diameter of 12mm, so that the screw also ensures a sufficient bearing surface for sliding point fixings, which are drilled into the panel with a diameter of 8mm. In addition, the screw must correspond to an overall length of 35mm, which is divided into a 10mm long threadless screw shank and a coarse thread with a length of 25mm with a thread diameter of 5.5mm for screwing into wood materials. To ensure that the screws can be easily used for the assembly of facade panels up to 8mm panel thickness, our screws have a modern hexagon socket drive (ISR20, Torx Tx20). Slipping out of the drive or spinning of the screw bit is therefore not to be expected.
The lacquer finish of the round, flat screw head is exactly matched in colour tone and gloss to the Gold Yellow finish with manufacturer code A04.1.7 of the Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS panels with satin finish to ensure that the fixing is tone-in-tone with the golden yellow facade panels. The finish is colourfast, UV and weather resistant, so the screw heads will not fade even with long-term outdoor use.
Facade screws with head paint in Gold Yellow are ideal for mounting vertical facade systems in combination with the Trespa® Meteon® panels in Gold Yellow and are approved for such purposes. The substructure here must consist of wooden support battens with a minimum thickness of 30mm. The general type approval for Trespa® brand facade panels also defines the type and quality of the wood that the substructure must be made of. This document also provides information on the installation with fixed and sliding point fixings of facade panels. This means that a fixed point must be defined for each panel, which must be drilled within the panel using an HPL drill with a nominal diameter of 6mm. The remaining screw connections are for thermal expansion of the panel and are drilled with an 8mm drill bit. The golden yellow lacquered head of our facade screws has a diameter of 12mm and covers these larger holes without any problems. The substructure, on the other hand, is not pre-drilled. When screwing in the screw, make sure that it is only screwed in until the screw head rests on the panel. If the screws are tightened too much, the panel can no longer expand without constraint, which can cause the panel surface to bulge.
The scope of the building project, for example the vertical cladding, as well as the thickness of the panels, determines how many screws are needed for professional installation. For panels with a thickness of 8mm, a maximum distance between the fixings of 700mm is permissible. For thinner panels with a thickness of 6mm, the distance between the fasteners is much smaller at 600mm. Also for panel fixings that are mounted overhead on the ceiling, smaller distances between the individual screw connections apply. In addition, especially in outdoor areas, tensile loads must be taken into account, which are primarily caused by wind or objects attached to the facade panel. These can be outdoor lighting, awnings or the like. The higher the load acting on the panels, the more screws must be used on the same length. In addition to the intermediate distance, the edge distance must also be taken into account, which is a minimum of 20 mm regardless of the panel thickness. The maximum permissible distance of the fastening from the edge of the panel varies depending on the panel thickness and is ten times the panel thickness. For an 8mm thick HPL panel, this means that the distance from the edge to the screw may be a maximum of 80mm.
The Trespa® Meteon® FR facade panels in Gold Yellow are not only effective as large-scale cladding for the exterior facade, but also create a homely feeling in the interior due to the warm yellow tone. From partial wall cladding in local retail, to tile backsplash covers, to robust cladding elements for playground equipment in the garden, there are no limits to the creativity in terms of possible applications with the colourful panels from Trespa®.
The cladding screws are not a Trespa® trademark product and are only painted in the colour of the covered panel decor. Trespa® is a registered trademark of Trespa International.
