The white facade screws with a thread diameter of Ø5.5mm, as well as a thread length of 35mm are made of a corrosion-resistant A4 stainless steel alloy. The round screw head is provided with a scratch-resistant head lacquer, which is matched in colour and gloss level to Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS facade panels in White (A03.0.0) with satin surface decor. As facade screws, these are suitable for the installation of ventilated facade cladding in accordance with the general construction type approval and are therefore approved for the installation of Trespa® HPL panels on wooden support battens in outdoor areas.

Facade cladding in outdoor areas must withstand all weather conditions and external influences. The same high requirements apply to the fasteners that are to securely fix the panels to the substructure. For this reason, the facade screws that are suitable for mounting on a wooden substructure must be manufactured according to certain specifications and standards. Our white facade screws, as well as all other HPL screws in our online shop, are made of A4 steel according to DIN EN 14592. We deliberately use the higher-quality stainless steel alloy, which, in contrast to A2 steel, is characterised by improved corrosion resistance and excellent acid resistance.
NOTE: The screw head has a hexagon socket or Torx drive. Should the suitable If you are still missing a screwdriver bit in size TX20 (or ISR20), you can simply order it at the same time.
If a screw is to be used for facade cladding, care must be taken not only to ensure that it is made of a rustproof material, but also to ensure that it is of the right design. Facade screws have a head diameter of 12 mm. On the one hand, this ensures a sufficiently high contact surface to hold the panels securely and, on the other hand, that the larger sliding point holes in the panel, which must have a diameter of 8mm, are always completely covered. For the installation of HPL panels on a substructure made of wooden support battens, the screw must have a coarse thread. A thread-free screw shaft is also required. This is 10mm for our white HPL screws, so that the screws may be used for facade panels up to 8mm thick. With a length of 25mm and a diameter of 5.5mm, the thread is ideal for screwing them directly into the wood without pre-drilling and ensures an extremely high load-bearing capacity, which is necessary for heavy HPL facade panels. If you add the 2mm for the round, flat screw head, the total length is 37mm.
The white screws are specially matched to the white Trespa® Meteon® White facade panels with the colour code A03.0.0, which is not to be confused with the colour code A05.0.0, although these are also white panels from the same manufacturer, but the Pure White is somewhat lighter. The silky sheen of the screws refers to the panels with a satin finish surface decor. To prevent the lacquer from yellowing, a special lacquer is used that is UV and weather resistant. Even prolonged weathering and intense UV radiation from incident sunlight will cause the colour to change.
For the professional installation of an exterior facade cladding, the fastening of the panels must be free of constraints. This is important so that the panels can expand between the sliding point fixings when exposed to heat and do not bulge. For this purpose, a fastening must be defined for each individual panel as a fixed point from which the panel can expand in all directions. This fixed point must be drilled into the panel with a 6mm HPL drill. All other holes are drilled 2mm larger. When screwing the panel into place, make sure that the screw is positioned straight and centred within the holes and screwed into the wooden substructure. The screw should only be screwed in until its head is flush with the panel. If the screw is tightened too much, the board can no longer slide between the substructure and the screw head, which can cause the white boards to bend inwards or outwards at higher outdoor temperatures or in direct sunlight.
We offer you the possibility to order the screws in your desired quantity. How many screws you need depends on the planned project as well as on the legal regulations and standards on how the panels are to be fixed. For exterior facade cladding with flame-retardant Trespa® Meteon® panels made of high-pressure laminate, the spacing of the individual fixings is clearly defined in the associated general construction type approval. This states that the edge distance for panel fixings must not be less than 20mm. In addition, the distance of a fastening to the edge of the panel must not be more than ten times the panel thickness, which results in a maximum edge distance of 80mm for a panel with a thickness of 8mm. Limits must also be observed between the individual mounting points, which may be a maximum of 700mm for 8mm panels and only 600mm for 6mm panels. However, these are only guideline values that must be reduced depending on expected loads, for example due to wind.
White HPL panels are not only used as facade panels for exterior applications, but are also very popular for furniture construction. The light, silky-glossy surface decor in combination with the dark core of the sheet material is particularly effective for the side panels of cupboards, chests of drawers or shelves. The scratch-resistant boards are also very popular as table tops in the living room or on the terrace, because they are very easy to clean, even if something goes wrong. However, it is important for shelves, cupboard shelves or table tops that the boards can bend under high loads, which is why a stable, load-bearing construction is necessary to support the weight. The White cladding screws are also excellent for such applications and ensure an inconspicuous installation tone-in-tone with the Trespa® Meteon® panels in White with the colour code A03.0.0.
The facade screws of our own brand S-Polytec are not from Trespa®, but are permitted for facade cladding with Trespa®, Meteon® panels. Trespa® is a registered trademark of Trespa International.
