The fischer FIXtainer SX plug and screw box contains 105 fischer SX expansion plugs in each of the three most important sizes, as well as the same number of plug screws. This means the range leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to fixing with plugs and screws in solid concrete ceilings or masonry walls. The expansion anchors, of which 60 are included in the size 6x30mm, 30 in the size 8x40mm and 15 in the size 10x50mm, have a powerful quadruple expansion, which is characterised by higher individual loads, compared to a simple expansion anchor. To ensure that the function is safely initiated, the anchor screws with countersunk head and full thread are perfectly matched to the respective anchor. The quantity of the three screw sizes matches the number of dowels.

The set contains three dowel sizes and screws each. Each of these has its own place in the six compartments of the L-BOXX Mini, so that they can be removed quickly and easily, clearly separated from each other. The robust lid in transparent design makes it easy to see at a glance whether there is still enough assembly material for the installation.

The fischer FIXtainers rely on the popular L-BOXX Mini from BS Systems, which is used by countless other brands as a filled or empty assortment box. The stackable box, which can be quickly and easily connected to other L-BOXX Mini boxes by means of an integrated click system, can be transported very easily as a group. You are not limited to fischer FIXtainer, because all L-BOXX Mini are compatible with each other. This means that the assortment boxes from Wiha, Flex, Bosch or Makita can be combined with each other without any problems. This makes storage easier, creates order and looks attractive.

Besides the simple possibility of stacking the L-BOXX, the variable compartment division is a main reason that makes the storage system for small assortments so popular. By removing or repositioning the dividers, 36 different variations are possible to divide the compartments individually. In the SX dowel-screw box, all 6 individual compartments that are possible are occupied by different dowels and screws. The size of a single compartment is approx. 8cm x 8cm and approx. 4.5cm high. If all dividers are removed, one achieves a single large compartment with internal dimensions of rounded 23cm in width, 15cm in depth.

The possible uses of the L-BOXX Mini are just as versatile as the division of the compartments, because once the dowels and screws have been used up, the storage box can be used in countless other ways. Of course, the dowels and screws can also simply be refilled. Alternatively, you can replenish the emptied compartments with suitable tools, drill bits, screwdriver bits or the like. Even in the office, the L-BOXX Mini offers a very good storage option to achieve order on the desk. The size of the compartments is perfectly suited to storing, for example, tacks, stamps, office and staple clips or writing tools in an orderly fashion.

The contents of the SX plug and screw box in detail

The fischer SX plug and screw box contains 105 expansion plugs and 105 matching plug screws. To be ideally equipped for all fixings, the range includes plugs in diameters of 6mm, 8mm and 10mm. The SX anchor, which is mainly suitable for solid building materials such as concrete, solid sand-lime bricks or aerated concrete, initiates a secure anchoring through a powerful quadruple expansion. The anchor can also be used well for perforated building materials, even if the maximum individual load of an anchor is sometimes significantly lower for such building materials. The edge of the anchor prevents the anchor from slipping too deeply into the hole and, in addition to push-in installation, also allows it to be used in push-through installation. The anti-turn device prevents the anchor from turning when the screws included in the set are screwed in.

The set includes high-quality dowel screws made of galvanised steel so that you can start installation straight away. The screws with countersunk head and full thread are perfectly matched in diameter and length to the respective anchor, so that a permanently secure fastening is guaranteed. The modern Torx drive (inner star or inner hexagonal) enables effortless screwing without the screwdriver or bit slipping out of the drive. However, different bit sizes are required for screwing, which are listed in the technical data for the respective screws a little further down.

As in all fischer plug boxes, the range consisting of screws and plugs includes the smallest ones most often, because 6mm plugs are needed for most fixings. The countersunk screw with full thread is a guarantee for maximum fixing security, especially in push-through installation. In push-through mounting, attachments with a maximum thickness of 5mm are possible. This results from the screw length of 40 mm and a required screw-in depth of at least 35 mm.

I'm sure you've already used a 6mm plug a few times, because the powerful plug is suitable for countless objects. Expanding plug fischer SX Ø8x40mm with countersunk screw

The SX plug and screw box contains 30 plugs in 8mm diameter and 30 screws in size Ø5.0x55mm. The screw length of 55mm also corresponds to the thread length for the countersunk screws and results in a perfectly matched load distribution in the anchor. The greatest possible thickness of the mounting object is limited to 9mm for this screw in order to achieve the required screw-in depth of 45mm.

The combination of the eighth dowel and the corresponding screw from the set is perfectly suitable for fastening drywall profiles on walls, ceilings and in the floor, in order to later cover them with plasterboard. The mounting of wall wardrobes, beamer screens or loudspeakers of home cinema systems are also among the possible areas of application for which an 8mm dowel is the perfect size.

The 10mm diameter expansion anchors, of which there are 15 in the range, ensure secure anchoring. The countersunk screw in Ø6.0x70mm guarantees the expansion of the anchor and thanks to the full thread, the load is excellently distributed over the entire screw-in depth. The length of 70mm allows for an attachment thickness of up to 14mm in pre-set installation, which is more than sufficient for most fixings.

Possible application examples are the wall mounting of TV brackets, radiators or distribution boxes in detached houses. In addition, the dowel-screw combination is also suitable for mounting wall shelves and wall cabinets in kitchens, bathrooms and toilets.
